New postal tubes are go!
Below is a quick photo run through of the new postal tube packaging process we’ve just rolled out for international orders. The tubes are heavy duty packing a 3mm wall and a 4” diameter to avoid the editions being rolled too tight. This is the most secure process we’ve found to date and a happy print = a happy customer.

Sean’s editions soaking up some of that sweet Taipei evening light as they await framing on his laboratory window. Thanks for the pic Sean!

New internaltional postal tubes
Sadly a recent edition delivery to New York has arrived damaged. I’ve always flat packed my international orders in a sturdy corrugated mailer backed either side with another sheet of corrugated card for extra protection. It seems even this packaging comes with risks when shipping long distances.
In order to make sure I am using the safest packaging possible when mailing the editions I will be switching to 3mm thick 4” postal tubes for all future international mailing. The new postal tubes arrive Wednesday and all pending international orders will be shipped using the new tubes. I’ll post some images of the the new packaging as I pack the current orders up to send off on Wednesday.

Postage & Packaging price introduction
Earlier in the year Royal Mail announced price increases of over 100% for some of it’s parcel deliveries. Andy Ward Editions have always been mailed out as a flat packed item as we believe this is the safest way to preserve the quality of our prints and the price of postage and packaging has always been included in the print price. Unfortunately after several months of going against the flow and absorbing these increases ourselves, we will now need to include an additional price for postage. There will be a flat price of £5 for postage and packaging for UK customers and a price of £8 for all other destinations. The prices will not increase for multiple prints.
